New design / Update

New design / Update

Postby Knobby » Thu Oct 18, 2012 6:19 am

Ok I didn't know when we first started this site if was going to be a success so started simple with the design and layout (and within my web design skill set), but now with new members coming along everyday I think it would be a good idea to spruce it up a little.

If anyone has any thoughts on this or preference to a certain forum software please let me know.

Cheers

I quite like how it is now the only things id say is it needs a nice pic/banner at the top like macdaddy was working on. Plus the member info being on the right instead of the left like other forums is abit of a pain dont know if that can be changed. Also i notice there are alot of guests viewing the board i dont know if it would be better or worse to limit what people can see without signing up.

I can limit so only members can view. What's everyone's thought on this?

Right currently going through the process of upgrading to the invision forum software.. I believe it will make the site look more modern and give it a fresher feel. Check out www.R32OC.com it uses the same software.

I'm setting up a test site so it won't affect the current site for the time being. Need to make sure I can get it working properly, before messing with this production site.

Any questions or suggestions fire away..

Cheers
