Had my RS3 dyno'd today..

Postby Knobby » Tue Dec 18, 2012 6:24 pm

So I plan to start tunning early next year and I wanted to see what the car was putting out standard so i've been to an independent place, Surrey Rolling Road who I have heard good things about recently.

Results below, I am happy with the nearly 10 bhp extra on top of standard. :)

Good news ! nice to know you've got a bit of extra bhp as standard :D

What's the bottom right hand scale showing exactly AFR:P ? I presume the graph that dips between 4000 - 4500 is what it relates to.

I'm a total noob when it comes to dyno results reading. I know afr reading is the air / fuel ratio, the operator said it was spot on but I know nothing lol.

Now need a VAGCOM to record inlet air temperature, so I can see before and after inlet temperatures for when I change the intercooler, if I go this route.

As with most owners forums, most only turn up when they have problems.....

Firstly will be a stage one remap, decided against Revo. Had it before on R32's and it was always a good option but hearing too many people calling it an off the shelf map and no live mapping to your car and setup. Sounds like Revo are now very commercial. I will probably go the MRC Tuning route, I've heard some good things, the rolling road guy said they were very good, the intercooler I want recommends MRC, and loads of TTRS have had MRC maps and seen loads of good results. I believe they use less boost pressure but still achieve higher BHP numbers than other tuners.

Will look at exhaust and intercooler and then that will be my lot.

Cars nearly a year old now so will get my first service out the way and then start the madness :)
