warranty + remap

so... do you downgrade your map before going to service or just dont care about warranty?

Unless the remap has a back click function in its' prograam it would not make a difference if you put it baack to standdard for service or not. If the number of access times does not tally with Audi records they'll know someone has been fettling with the ECU and void so you may as well leave the map there. The worry is if they flash the ECU and wipe your map you'll have to get it done again aand then it is the hassle factor.

If it does have a back click then may be worth while.

Unless remapped or approved in writing by your dealer that is the safest train of thought to take.

As much as it should be that the dealer will haave to prove a remap caused whatever issue you have on your car you want corrected under warranty we all know that this just doesn't happen and is a hassle you don't really want to ccontest with them unless you have nothing better to do.
